Kitchen Manager (BOH Leader) – Full-Time

Savannah, GA | Savannah Riverboat Cruises

We’re hiring a Kitchen Manager who leads people first. This role is about building a strong, accountable back-of-house team that delivers consistent, high-quality execution in a fast-paced, high-volume riverboat dining and events environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop BOH team members
  • Create a positive, high-performance kitchen culture
  • Manage daily kitchen operations in a high-volume setting
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Train and onboard new team members
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
  • Control food cost, waste, and inventory
  • Partner with the Chef to improve systems and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in fast-paced service
  • Proven experience coaching and developing teams
  • Professional communication and accountability
  • Hands-on, team-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • 5+ years kitchen experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership role (Shift Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Line Cook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and BOH operations
  • ServSafe (or ability to obtain)
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Stand/walk for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50+ lbs
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and movement
