Davenport Machine Operator

Machine Operator - MultiSpindle Screw Machines (Davenport / AcmeGridley)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate range from $22 to $35 per hour DOE + shift premium + comprehensive benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MultiSpindle Screw Machine Operator with handson experience running Davenport, AcmeGridley, Brown & Sharpe, Schutte, or Tornos multispindle equipment. If you take pride in producing highvolume, highprecision components and enjoy working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment, this is the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

• Operate, and troubleshoot multispindle automatic screw machines including Davenport and AcmeGridley platforms
• Adjust cams, tooling, collets, feeds, speeds, and attachments to maintain optimal performance
• Perform inprocess inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and process sheets
• Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with supervisors, setup technicians, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and production efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience operating multispindle screw machines (Davenport, AcmeGridley, Schutte, Tornos, or equivalent)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of camdriven machine operation
• Ability to perform minor setups and adjustments independently
• Familiarity with highvolume production environments
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
