Remote Clinical Pharmacist – Prior Authorization

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Location: 100% Remote – Work from Home, U.S.
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay: Up to $53.00/hour

Position Overview

A-Line Staffing is seeking experienced Clinical Pharmacists for a fully remote opportunity. The pharmacist will review and complete prior authorization criteria in accordance with established policies and procedures.

This is a non-patient-facing, safety-sensitive position focused on clinical review, accuracy, documentation, and applying pharmacy criteria.

At least 2 years of pharmacist experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests according to established policies and procedures.
• Evaluate clinical information and supporting documentation.
• Apply appropriate clinical criteria to prior authorization cases.
• Complete documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Ensure decisions and recommendations are consistent with applicable policies and procedures.
• Maintain strong productivity, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and other healthcare stakeholders as needed.
• Protect confidential patient and company information while working remotely.

Schedule

Regular Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 9:30 AM–6:00 PM in your local time zone
• Occasional weekend work may be required.

Training:

• November 9, 2026 – December 11, 2026
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT
• Attendance and availability are required throughout the training period.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in your state of residence
• License must be in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
• Previous pharmacy experience in a PBM or Prior Authorization environment preferred
• Prior Authorization experience strongly preferred
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Prior Authorization / PBM Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

Candidates without PBM or Prior Authorization experience may still be considered if they have strong pharmacist experience.

Work-From-Home Requirements

This is a Direct-to-Work, fully remote position.

Candidates must:

• Provide their own reliable, high-speed internet.
• Have minimum internet speeds of:
• 25 Mbps download
• 3 Mbps upload
• Complete an internet speed test at Speedtest.net.
• Provide the internet provider and download/upload speeds.
• Have a smartphone capable of downloading the required VPN token.
• Have a dedicated, private workspace.
• Maintain a stable home working environment.
• Ensure conversations cannot be overheard and computer screens/documents cannot be viewed by others in the household.
• Lock or shut down the computer when temporarily away from the workspace.
• Shut down the computer when finished working.
