Travel Agent - The Delta Companies

At The Delta Companies, we create access for people through performance and humanity.

The Travel Agent is responsible for managing and coordinating travel-related arrangements for healthcare professionals placed on assignment nationwide.

You are not just booking flights—you are enabling clinicians to deliver seamless care across the country. This role requires a high sense of ownership, urgency and customer-service excellence while maintaining cost efficiency and accuracy.

We’re looking for individuals with a bias for action, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding travel experiences. Success in this role is earned by those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace accountability and live our Purpose and Core Values.

  • Travel Coordination & Provider Support
  • Coordinate all travel logistics for providers’ assignments, including flights, rental cars, lodging, shuttles and taxis.
  • Communicate frequently with other departments and business units regarding the status of travel arrangements.
  • Enter and maintain all required documentation in our internal database and travel applications.
  • Ensure compliance with company travel policies and budget requirements.
  • Prepare and communicate travel itineraries to providers.
  • Track travel expenses and assist with invoicing, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Audit placement information to ensure everything is entered correctly and on file.
  • Participate in periodic on-call rotation and complete special projects as required.
  • Provide back-up support to Delta Operations members as needed and deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Meet or exceed all turnaround timeframes assigned per tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • One or more years of experience in travel coordination, logistics, hospitality, staffing or healthcare operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exemplary customer-service skills and a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and maintain poise under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling/travel booking platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare staffing or travel health operations.
  • Experience working with travel management companies or travel booking software.
    •
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary
  • Remote work flexibility with a full-time schedule
  • PTO plus paid holidays
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Company-paid long-term disability and Employee Assistance Program
  • 401(k) with Roth option
  • Recognition programs including Core Value Awards, Quarterly and Yearly Awards and Platinum Club
  • Growth opportunities through our proprietary Staging programs
  • A culture that rewards performance, urgency and customer-focused execution

Join The Delta Companies’ Travel Team and help ensure our providers have seamless travel experiences so they can focus on delivering patient care across the country.
