Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs, facilitating the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to deliver effective interventions to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster community, address mental health issues, and promote learning about coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, offering immediate support and intervention as needed.
• Educate clients on mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources to empower their journey toward recovery.
• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of clinical interactions in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to refine your skills and stay updated on the latest advancements in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will come from varied backgrounds that include ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will handle diverse cases requiring an understanding of specific cultural nuances and challenges faced by these populations. Your role will directly impact their personal healing journeys by providing a space where they can openly discuss their experiences and challenges without fear of judgment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current and valid independent licensure (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) to practice in the state of Texas.
• Exemplary interpersonal communication skills and proficiency with computer systems and counseling platforms.
• A strong foundation in understanding mental health disorders and a commitment to culturally responsive therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy.
• Demonstrated ability in employing culturally inclusive and responsive therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
