Job description

Position Overview

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is seeking a well-qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who is passionate about facilitating emotional health and wellness in a remote work environment. This full-time position offers health professionals the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

About the Organization

Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is committed to helping individuals lead fulfilling lives through comprehensive and compassionate mental health care. We provide access to a variety of therapeutic services, including substance use recovery, support for developmental disabilities, and programs for acquired brain injury. Our goal is to empower clients through person-centered programming that fosters independence and community engagement while encouraging overall wellness and recovery.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a full-time remote setting, allowing you to work from your home office while collaborating with a diverse team of mental health professionals. You will have the flexibility to create a schedule that aligns with your personal needs and professional goals, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. With a commitment to your professional growth, we provide ongoing supervision and opportunities for continued education.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Blue Ridge Behavioral Health, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Providing crisis intervention strategies and support through developing behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and medication management plans.
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation that meets regulatory standards while utilizing evidence-based screening tools.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized positive behavior support plans, ensuring client-centered care.
  • Actively participating in licensing and accreditation processes to adhere to industry standards.
  • Acting as a liaison with state agencies and community partners to enhance service delivery and connect clients with additional resources.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders to promote Blue Ridge’s programs and secure potential funding and partnerships.
  • Engaging in professional development by attending conferences and workshops, representing our organization in statewide initiatives.
  • Embodying and promoting the principles and values of Blue Ridge Behavioral Health in all interactions.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall mission of the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with mental health disorders, substance use issues, and people with developmental disabilities. Your role is crucial in guiding these clients through their recovery journeys and supporting them in achieving better mental wellness.

Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in a behavioral health field.
  • A valid and independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license as recognized by the state of Oregon.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and the ability to generate comprehensive reports.
  • A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills for both verbal and written interactions.
  • The capacity to make informed decisions and exercise judgment based on your professional expertise.
Preferred Experience

While the required qualifications are essential, candidates with prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, familiarity with evidence-based practices, and a proven track record of client engagement will be favorably regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 86,000 to 103,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to this competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Productivity-based bonuses to reward your hard work.
  • Opportunities for continued professional development to sharpen your skills and expertise.
  • Ongoing supervision to support your career growth.
  • A collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and support.
  • Flexible scheduling options for personal well-being.
  • Paid time off and sick leave to encourage wellness.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans for you and your dependents.
  • Dependent care accounts to assist with childcare or eldercare expenses.
  • A hiring bonus to welcome you to our dedicated team.
