Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and driven licensed mental health counselors to join our team at Foresight Behavioral Health Center. This is a full-time remote position, aimed at providing comprehensive mental health support to individuals and families in our outpatient community health clinic. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify client needs and create personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals and challenges.
  • Implement evidence-based therapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to support individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups aimed at helping clients understand their mental health concerns, building community, and enhancing their support networks.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating the ability to think critically and act decisively.
  • Educate clients about mental health conditions, various treatment options, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation that aligns with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster a team-oriented atmosphere and share insights that enrich client care.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research, best practices, and therapeutic advancements in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on serving a diverse clientele, including individuals from various backgrounds, age groups, and cultural contexts. As a mental health counselor, you will work particularly with patients facing challenges related to mental health issues like depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse. Your contributions will directly improve the quality of life for these individuals, helping them navigate their journeys toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and proven therapeutic techniques based on sound clinical principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying out mental health assessments and creating successful treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients.
  • Adherence to professional ethics and the ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and high-level computer skills.
  • Capability to successfully engage in a multidisciplinary team environment for holistic patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy in a community health setting or outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with group therapy facilitation and psychoeducational programming.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention and mental health emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and understand cultural competency in therapy practices.
