What is a full time remote RN?

A Full Time Remote RN is a registered nurse who works full time from a non-traditional setting, such as their home, using technology to provide patient care, education, and support. These nurses may work in roles like telehealth, case management, triage, or patient education, communicating with patients and healthcare teams through phone, video, or online platforms. Remote RNs must be licensed and have strong communication and technical skills to deliver high-quality care outside of a traditional clinical environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time remote RN?

To thrive as a Full Time Remote RN, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical assessment skills, and experience in telehealth or remote patient care. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, EHR systems, and secure communication tools is essential. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills help you deliver effective patient care while working independently. These skills and qualities are vital to ensure patient safety, maintain high care standards, and succeed in a remote healthcare environment.

How do full time remote RNs typically collaborate with healthcare teams and patients while working from home?

Full Time Remote RNs often use secure digital platforms to communicate with physicians, care managers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care coordination. They may conduct virtual patient assessments, manage follow-ups, and document care plans electronically. While working remotely offers flexibility, it also requires strong communication skills and self-motivation to stay connected with both the team and patients. Regular virtual meetings and thorough documentation are essential to maintaining high-quality care.

This role offers the flexibility of a remote setting while allowing you to make a profound impact on the lives of seniors and their families within the Cambridge, Massachusetts community. Your expertise will play a vital role in promoting overall well-being, emotional health, and quality of life for our clients.

About the Organization

Founded with a mission to deliver exceptional therapeutic services, Relationship Renewal Therapy is committed to supporting seniors through age-specific challenges. Our community health clinic provides a safe and inclusive environment for clients to seek help, engage in therapy, and receive the support they need. We believe in holistic care that incorporates not just mental wellness but also emotional, social, and physical aspects, empowering our clients to thrive.

Work Environment

As a remote team member, you will work collaboratively with a dedicated group of professionals who are passionate about improving lives. Our full-time position typically follows a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility. Given our commitment to our clients' needs, occasional evening or weekend hours may be required. You will ensure continuous and effective care by being available for on-call situations when urgent client assistance is needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of seniorsโ€™ psychosocial needs, taking into account emotional, mental, and social factors.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and their families to develop individualized care plans that reflect their unique goals and values.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support throughout life transitions, erasing the stigma of seeking help.
  • Advocate for clients in navigating community resources, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance and services tailored to their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, caregivers, and physicians to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Regularly visit clients to monitor their well-being, update care plans, and address any changes in their living conditions.
  • Facilitate communication among family members, aiming to resolve conflicts and promote better understanding of care objectives.
  • Educate clients and their families about relevant community resources, support groups, and available programs to foster their social engagement.
  • Maintain accurate client records, ensuring documentation is up-to-date with assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay informed about current best practices, policies, and ethical standards in social work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the senior population, many of whom face distinct challenges related to aging, including mental health issues, social isolation, and the need for support during critical life transitions. By utilizing your clinical skills and empathy, you will be instrumental in enhancing their quality of life and helping them navigate the complexities of their situations.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a social work capacity, ideally within a community or geriatric context.
  • Strong understanding of aging-related issues and familiarity with available community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal, assessment, and counseling skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications relevant to case documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within community health settings or with older adult populations.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and programs beneficial for seniors.
  • Proven track record of effective advocacy for client needs and access to services.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to support your health and well-being.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to promote work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional development.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment with pathways for career growth and advancement.

At Relationship Renewal Therapy, we value continuous professional growth and development. As a member of our team, you will have access to mentoring, training sessions, and leadership development resources that can enhance your skills while expanding your career trajectory within our organization.
