• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs, risks, strengths, and challenges, utilizing various assessment tools and methodologies.
• Implement evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to guide patients toward recovery and coping strategies.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals within the Detox Center to coordinate individualized care plans for each patient.
• Provide clear explanations to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and medication options, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their care paths.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities to enhance therapeutic engagement and support.
• Develop and refine treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with patients’ goals and preferences.
• Advocate for patients' needs within complex healthcare systems, providing guidance and support in navigating service options and accessing necessary resources.
• Lead psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups to empower patients with coping strategies, enhancing their recovery process.

Your primary focus will be individuals struggling with mental health and substance use issues in our Detox Center, a critical intervention phase for many. You will work with a diverse range of patients, each presenting unique challenges and backgrounds, requiring an adaptable and empathetic approach to care. Your role is essential in establishing therapeutic relationships that foster trust and promote recovery.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention methodologies is crucial.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team is necessary to support comprehensive patient care.

• Previous experience in substance use treatment or detox settings is highly desirable.
