Order Processing Specialist
Company Overview

We help property owners recover utility costs efficiently through innovative technology, accurate billing practices, and exceptional customer support. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organized and dependable Order Processing Specialist to join our remote operations team.

Position Overview

The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for reviewing, entering, processing, and tracking customer and business orders and requests. This role helps ensure that orders are accurately recorded, properly documented, and communicated to the appropriate internal teams for timely completion.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with computer systems, customer information, and digital records. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple requests are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review incoming orders and requests for completeness and accuracy
  • Enter orders and customer information accurately into company systems
  • Process orders according to established company procedures
  • Verify customer, account, service, and order information before processing
  • Review requests for missing or inconsistent information and follow up as needed
  • Track order status and maintain accurate processing records
  • Coordinate order-related requests with operations, billing, customer service, and other internal teams
  • Respond to routine order and processing inquiries by phone, email, and other approved communication channels
  • Communicate order updates and status information to appropriate customers or internal personnel
  • Update customer and order records when changes or corrections are required
  • Monitor outstanding orders and follow up on pending items
  • Identify processing errors or discrepancies and route issues to the appropriate team
  • Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation
  • Prepare routine reports and summaries related to order activity
  • Follow established data-entry, processing, documentation, and quality-control procedures
  • Protect customer, financial, and company information
  • Follow company privacy and data-handling requirements
  • Meet established accuracy, productivity, and response-time expectations
  • Assist with other order-processing, administrative, and operational responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in order processing, data entry, customer service, administration, operations support, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and web-based applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Ability to accurately enter and review customer and order information
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
