Work Environment

The position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from home while supporting mental health clients across various geographical locations. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with a set schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments, engaging with clients to understand their unique psychological and emotional landscapes.
  • Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions individualized to patients, taking into account their cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing strategies and techniques to promote mental resilience and overall well-being.
  • Work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to create holistic treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation tactics and immediate support measures.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and relevant community resources, helping them navigate the mental health landscape effectively.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings, engaging with colleagues to share insights and improve cultural competency across the clinic.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging research in mental health therapies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care based on the latest evidence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant families. You will be an integral part of their therapeutic journey, striving to understand their unique experiences and tailor interventions that address their specific mental health needs.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required. However, a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Must hold a current license as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.
  • Proven experience in delivering mental health care in culturally diverse settings is a significant advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with clients from varied backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
