A Full Time Remote Game Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and testing video games or game features from a remote location. They collaborate with other team members such as artists, designers, and sound engineers using online tools and communication platforms. Their duties include writing code, debugging, and ensuring that the game performs well on various devices. Working remotely allows them to contribute to projects from anywhere, offering flexibility while still meeting deadlines and production goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time remote game developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Remote Game Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like C++ or C#, experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine, and a solid understanding of computer graphics and gameplay systems. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), bug tracking tools, and ideally a relevant degree or certifications in computer science or game development are typical requirements. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills are essential for collaborating with remote teams and managing project deadlines. These abilities ensure efficient development, seamless teamwork, and the successful delivery of engaging, high-quality games in a remote work environment.

What are some common challenges faced by full time remote game developers, and how can they be addressed?

Full-time remote game developers often face challenges related to communication and collaboration, particularly when working with teams across different time zones or cultures. Staying aligned on project goals and managing version control for complex assets can also require robust workflows. Position Overview

The Turning Points Clinic is looking for a dedicated and insightful Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote position. In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate mental health care through telehealth services to patients grappling with various emotional and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will not only support individual patient needs but also foster family engagement in the treatment process, contributing significantly to positive health outcomes.

About the Organization

Turning Points Clinic is a progressive outpatient facility based in Reading, Pennsylvania, focused on delivering specialty mental health care to underserved populations. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and supportive environment, where our clinicians can make a lasting impact in the lives of high-risk patients. Our dedicated team collaborates to develop personalized care plans and provides a range of services to enhance mental health and well-being.

Work Environment

This role operates within a dynamic telehealth framework, enabling our counselors to maintain flexibility while still delivering effective patient care. As part of a fully remote setting, you will utilize advanced communication tools and digital workflows to connect with patients and their families, ensuring consistent support and monitoring of their mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in thorough program planning and the organization of mental health services tailored to meet patient needs.
  • Communicate regularly with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, to relay information regarding patient progress, challenges, and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all clinical encounters, including detailed clinical notes and progress reports, in adherence to department guidelines.
  • Collaboratively develop comprehensive treatment plansโ€”including discharge strategiesโ€”rooted in comprehensive psychosocial assessments and recognized therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide compassionate counseling and crisis intervention services, effectively addressing the emotional and behavioral challenges faced by patients.
  • Consult with family members and support systems, ensuring collaborative planning for client treatment and aftercare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working directly with a diverse array of clients, including those facing significant life challenges, mental health disorders, and situational crises. Many of our patients may be dealing with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, or other mental health fluctuations, and your contributions will be integral in guiding them toward achieving stability and fulfillment in their lives.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • At least two years of experience working in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in mental health care.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort in using digital tools such as telehealth software and MS Office applications for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

Experience with telehealth programming or familiarity with online treatment platforms can enhance your adaptability in this position. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in behavioral care is also advantageous as we strive to uphold the highest standards of mental health interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package. Our offerings include comprehensive health, dental, disability, and life insurance options, as well as generous paid time off to support your well-being.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Turning Points Clinic, we are committed to fostering professional development. In addition to a supportive team environment, we provide opportunities for continued education and training, enabling you to enhance your skills and remain current with best practices in mental health care.
