Position Overview

Brightside Therapy Center is actively seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dedicated team. This remote position offers the flexibility to work 30-40 hours per week while providing critical mental health services in a supportive community health setting. As an LMHC, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic interventions, assessment, and support to our diverse client population, all while promoting wellness and recovery.

This position operates within a Community Health Clinic framework, designed for remote collaboration. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, including crisis management strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring it is completed in a timely manner.
  • Employ evidence-based screening tools and methodologies as required by the clinical team to guide treatment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement positive behavior support plans that foster client success.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, contributing to the ongoing quality improvement of services.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to enhance support networks.
  • Establish strong lines of communication to align with contract standards and promote the agencyโ€™s mission in the community.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to advance program initiatives and explore potential partnerships and funding sources.
  • Pursue continuous professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and contributing to statewide meetings related to mental health.
  • Promote and embody the values and philosophy of the agency in all aspects of work.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is focused on serving a diverse population that includes individuals facing mental health challenges, those in recovery from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. You will have the opportunity to work with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, making a positive impact on their emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • Possession of an independent LMHC license issued by the state board.
  • Strong ability to maintain clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Proven judgment and decision-making skills based on clinical expertise and ethical considerations.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a community health setting or working with diverse populations is preferred.
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and crisis intervention methods.
