As a Quality Technician II 2nd shift earning $21.75 an hour (includes 7% Shift Differential) you will perform quality inspection of Motor Grader, Medium Wheel Loaders, and DV components and DV machines. Emphasis is on assembly and paint process inspection. Apply Caterpillar engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to judge conformance of NLR products.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience is required in one of the following areas: Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.

Top Candidates will also have
  • Additional work experience, particularly in a manufacturing quality role, is highly desirable.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications is highly
    desirable. Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance is also desirable.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use Teamcenter software to open and view CAD models of Prime
    Product and assemblies is highly desirable. Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI) also highly desirable.
  • Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc) highly desirable.
  • Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
