Job Summary

Pawling Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Full-Time Receptionist to join our team. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to residents, visitors, and staff, while also handling phone calls, mail, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
  • Operate the facility switchboard and paging system with patience, courtesy, and professionalism

  • Receive, screen, and relay incoming calls, forward phone messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff according to facility policy

  • Welcome and direct residents, visitors, consultants, emergency personnel, vendors, and other guests

  • Assist with visitor procedures and facility protocols as needed

  • Sign for deliveries and assist with sorting and distributing incoming mail

  • Perform basic clerical duties and provide administrative support as assigned

  • Maintain a warm, welcoming, organized, and professional front desk environment

  • Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, families, visitors, and staff

  • Assist with additional front desk and administrative responsibilities as needed

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred

  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and familiarity with standard office applications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or medical setting is a plus
