Job description

Position Summary:
As an full-time RBT, ABA Cohort student at Westside Children's Therapy, you will serve as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), directly implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This placement offers a unique opportunity! You will receive full funding to complete your masters of ABA degree at our partner University, then translate it into real-world clinical practice through predominantly play-based therapy, supporting children in the development of communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral skills.
Essential Functions:
  • Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBA
  • Engage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedback
  • Collect and record data on patients behavior
  • Complete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experience

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 months of ABA experience or 1 year of work experience with individuals with Autism
  • Active RBT certification
  • Become actively enrolled in a Master's program with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence with a variety of computer applications
  • Comfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their families
