Job description

AMI is seeking a full time Radiologic Technologist to join the team in the Toms River Route 37 West office location!  This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice and work alongside our exceptional team of physicians and staff.  

AMI offers a generous compensation and benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401k and Profit sharing and the opportunity to work in an exciting and progressive outpatient practice. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience. 

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Performs radiographic examinations as directed, including general radiographic, Dexa scans, fluoroscopic and tomographic procedures, in accordance with departmental imaging protocols and ACR guidelines. 
  • Completes aseptic technique training and consistently maintains Infection control standards as assigned.
  • Assists patients on and off table and uses appropriate lift-assist devices as warranted.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned to ensure that optimum radiologic care, efficient and orderly flow of patients and safe, expedient office operation occurs daily.
  • Operates all departmental clerical equipment, including the computerized information system and copy machines, to ensure that office recordkeeping and documentation are accurate, timely, and easily accessible.
  • Performs quality assurance, testing and documentation in accordance with NJ Department of Environment Protection and ACR standards.
  • Provides informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel assigned to the work area.
  • Removes soiled gowns and linens from patient areas according to the Office Administrator’s schedule and cleans them on-site following AMI policy, using AMI-provided cleaning products.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.


This full time, 40 hour per week position will be based in the Toms River Route 37 West office location.

The work schedule includes Tuesday-Friday, 8am-6:30pm.

Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Qualified candidates for this position must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R).  Must possess valid and current NJ DEP Radiologic Technologist license.  American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required prior to the start of employment.  Candidates must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection.  Must be able to adapt to changing technologies as they occur.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required for success in this position.
