Overview:
Corporate Tools is seeking a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in virtualization and on-prem infrastructure. This hybrid, full-time position blends modern DevOps practices with traditional Linux systems engineering. You'll be responsible for managing and scaling our on-prem environments remotely, automating infrastructure workflows, and maintaining reliable, secure systems using tools like Proxmox or other enterprise-grade hypervisors. You'll work closely with our development and operations teams to support infrastructure automation, CI/CD workflows, and resilient on-prem systems-enabling high-performance application development and delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage on-premise infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications.
  • Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments to ensure infrastructure growth meets business requirements.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to implement best practices for deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Coordinate with IT and Network teams to ensure proper infrastructure setup, connectivity, and integration with other systems.
  • Design and implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines for on-prem applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration between development, QA, and production environments.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of on-prem systems and applications.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to enhance the functionality and performance of on-prem infrastructure.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Linux Systems Engineering roles.
  • Strong background in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
  • Deep hands-on experience with Proxmox or another enterprise virtualization platform (e.g., VMware vSphere, KVM, Xen).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Comfortable working with container technologies such as Docker or Podman.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Drone).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Ruby).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and best practices in on-prem environments.
  • Familiarity with managing physical infrastructure remotely (e.g., IPMI, iDRAC, iLO).
  • Experience managing on-prem Kubernetes clusters (or hybrid deployments).
  • Familiar with automated OS provisioning tools (e.g., PXE boot, Kickstart, Cobbler).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or similar).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases from a systems perspective.
  • Knowledge of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery for virtualized infrastructure.
  • Understanding of hardware lifecycle and virtual resource optimization in remote data center environments.
