Job Description
Launch your career in advanced analytics with Vanguard's College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program. As a Data Scientist intern, you'll help apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve business problems and support data-driven decision-making. This immersive internship combines real-world project work, mentorship, and structured development to help you strengthen your technical depth, business acumen, and leadership capability in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
In this internship you will:
  • Support advanced analytics work that helps teams identify patterns, predict outcomes, and improve decision-making at scale.

  • Prepare, transform, and analyze data to support machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI-driven solutions.

  • Contribute to model development, testing, validation, or experimentation efforts in partnership with data scientists and business stakeholders.

  • Help communicate analytical findings, implications, and recommendations in a way that supports business action.

  • Gain exposure to applied AI and advanced analytics work, such as automation, model operationalization, and insight generation.

  • Build foundational leadership skills by taking ownership of work, collaborating across teams, and contributing ideas in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment.

  • Build relationships with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers across the program

  • Receive coaching and mentorship from your department manager and program leaders to support your development.

What it takes:
  • Enrolled in a master's degree or PhD program - or advanced graduate study - in Data Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

  • Strong interest in advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and using data to solve complex business problems.

  • Experience through coursework, research, internships, or projects using tools such as SQL, Python, statistical methods, machine learning libraries, or cloud-based analytics tools.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations.

  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.
