Men's Ministry Assistant Director
Join the Open Door Mission's team of dedicated staff who are committed to full-time Christian ministry and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Our Men's Ministry department provides emergency services for men in need of immediate assistance such as food, shelter, clothing, and other necessities, as well as longer-term programs to help address the root causes of homelessness, such as addiction, lack of life skills, and generational poverty.
The Men's Ministry Assistant Director provides leadership and oversight to the day-to-day operations of the department. The Men's Ministry Assistant Director manages building maintenance and supplies to ensure the facility is clean, stocked, and running as expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A full job description will be provided for review during the interview process.
  • Oversee and manage Men's Ministry Floor Support Workers.
  • Collaborate with Men’s Ministry Director concerning guest, staff, and facility issues.
  • Responsible for upkeep and appearance of Men's Ministry spaces (public and private).
  • Oversee the guest, student, and tenant services provided by Men's Ministry Floor Support Workers.
  • Manage Men's Ministry supplies and building cleaning supplies for all operations.
  • Lead staff meetings to provide timely and meaningful information for staff to complete their duties and responsibilities.
  • Provide emergency crisis counseling, problem solving, and de-escalation to guests and staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experience case managing in a social service organization.
  • Experience working with those in crisis, including addiction recovery, mental health, generational poverty, lack of job amp; life skills.
  • Ability to share the gospel and make disciples.
  • Strong commitment to attendance at and involvement with a local Christian church.
  • Sufficient spiritual maturity to lead others spiritually, including both individuals and teams.
