IGE is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Exhibit Designer to design innovative trade show exhibits, branded environments, and experiential marketing spaces that bring our clients' brands to life.
The Exhibit Designer works closely with Sales, Account Management, Estimating, Engineering, Graphics, and Production to transform client objectives into compelling exhibit concepts that are visually impactful, manufacturable, and aligned with project budgets and timelines.
This role combines creativity with technical expertise and is ideal for a designer who understands both design and fabrication while delivering exceptional client experiences.

  • Revise concepts based on feedback while maintaining design quality.
  • Research industry trends, materials, technologies, and innovative exhibit solutions.

Project Development

  • Work with Engineering and Production to confirm designs can be efficiently fabricated and installed.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, renderings, reference materials, and design files.
  • Coordinate freelance designers when assigned.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Account Managers, Estimators, Engineers, Graphics, and Production teams.
  • Support exhibit previews and client presentations as needed.
  • Create marketing renderings and visual assets to support business development initiatives.
  • Maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current on exhibit design trends, fabrication techniques, software, and emerging technologies.
  • Continuously improve rendering quality and presentation standards.
  • Develop innovative solutions that maximize the reuse of existing inventory when appropriate.
  • Promote sustainable design practices by minimizing waste and extending the lifecycle of exhibit assets.
  • Contribute ideas that improve design quality, workflow efficiency, and IGE's competitive advantage.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in exhibit design, experiential marketing, retail environments, environmental graphics, architectural design, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design thinking and high-quality visualization skills.
  • Experience taking projects from concept through fabrication.
  • Understanding of exhibit construction methods, materials, fabrication processes, and installation considerations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
