Position: Forktlift/ Machinery Installation Traineeย (CDL A Required)

Job Overview

Halbert Brothers Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Installer & Rigger with a Class A CDL to support our field installation operations. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who has direct experience installing and uninstalling heavy industrial machinery including CNC machines and understands the precision, safety, and coordination required for complex rigging projects.

Driving is a supporting function, not the focus. The majority of your work will be performed on job sites, handling machinery placement, alignment, leveling, and secure removal for commercial, industrial, and government clients.If you take pride in precision work, understand rigging fundamentals, and want long-term stability with a respected contractor, this role was built for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, remove, relocate, align, and level heavy industrial machinery at customer sites
  • Perform precision rigging for equipment such as CNC machines and other high-value assets
  • Operate class A commercial vehicles for machinery removal and installation at job sites.
  • Secure, load, and unload heavy equipment following DOT and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Operate forklifts and rigging equipment to position, relocate, or install machinery on-site
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after transport to ensure safety and compliance
  • Communicate effectively with field crews, dispatch, and clients to coordinate deliveries
  • Follow project timelines and adjust routes as needed for efficiency
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and transportation records
  • Uphold all safety and operational standards while representing Halbert Brothers on job sites


Qualifications
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience installing and uninstalling heavy machinery, including:
  • CNC machines
  • Food Processing Equipment
  • Electrical Transformers
  • Aerospace or pharmaceutical equipment
  • Machinery installation, alignment, leveling, rigging, and millwright experience forklift operation.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Must be able to secure, load, and unload heavy equipment following DOT and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Valid forklift certification
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment safety procedures and DOT regulations
  • Ability to safely maneuver in tight or high-traffic areas
