Job description

PTE Systems International is a leader in post-tensioning and concrete systems engineering, known for its commitment to technical excellence and rapid professional growth. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, detailing, and quality control of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems, contributing to projects that shape the built environment. Responsibilities
  • Assist with design layouts, engineering calculations, and detailing for post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems
  • Review and perform quality control on post-tensioned shop drawings, engineering calculations, and submittals
  • Prepare engineering documents requiring professional engineering signatures or seals (for those with PE or eligible for licensure)
  • Interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure design intent and constructability
  • Coordinate technical comments and clarifications with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and internal departments
  • Maintain consistent drawing standards, templates, and engineering documentation
  • Support field questions, RFIs, revisions, and technical clarifications
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, post-tensioning design parameters, and internal quality control standards
  • Maintain documentation required for sealed engineering packages
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or ability to obtain Florida PE quickly
  • 1–4 years of experience in structural engineering or concrete design (post-tensioning experience not required)
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete fundamentals and load paths
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit or Bluebeam is a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
