Job description

Production Technician – Polyurethane Molding amp; Fabrication
At Aster Brands, we create products, equipment, and manufacturing solutions that help producers around the world build better with precast concrete. Through brands like Redi-Rock and Rosetta Hardscapes, our work supports retaining walls, outdoor living spaces, and infrastructure projects across the globe. Before those concrete products can be manufactured, someone has to build the tools that give them their shape, texture, and consistency. That’s where our Polyurethane Manufacturing Technicians come in.
In this hands-on manufacturing role, you’ll help produce the polyurethane molds and mold components used in the manufacturing process. The quality and precision of your work matters. When a mold is made correctly, it helps our customers consistently manufacture the high-quality concrete products our brands are known for.
You don’t need to walk in knowing everything about polyurethane manufacturing. It follows a defined process, and you’ll work alongside an experienced team that will teach you the equipment, materials, processes, and quality standards you need to be successful.
Your primary responsibility will be learning to pour, produce, and package a variety of mold tables to Aster Brands’ internal specifications. This is detailed, hands-on work. You’ll follow established processes, work carefully with materials and equipment, and pay close attention to quality throughout each step. Getting the work done safely, accurately, and consistently is important.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Hand pouring and machine dispensing two-part polyurethane into mold cavities
  • Performing light-duty metal fabrication
  • Completing basic woodworking tasks
  • Using common hand and power tools for woodworking, grinding, fabrication, and assembly
  • Operating an overhead crane
  • Operating forklifts
  • Following established manufacturing processes and specifications
  • Inspecting your work and paying close attention to quality and detail
  • Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Moving between different production tasks as priorities and schedules change
  • Working with your teammates to keep production moving and meet deadlines
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
  • Enjoy making things, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to pitch in when work needs to get done
  • Pays close attention to details and catches potential problems before they become bigger issues
  • Takes a thoughtful, disciplined approach to following processes and specifications
  • Works safely, efficiently, and with purpose
  • Is comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Can move between different responsibilities and determine what needs attention first
  • Can maintain a steady pace when working toward production deadlines

This is a full-time, year-round position. Our typical production schedule is Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour days, with some volunteer based and/or required Friday work and overtime opportunities available. We offer, a package of forward-thinking employee benefits, including excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401k with employer match, profit sharing, paid time off, paid holidays, award-winning adoption and foster care reimbursement, partial paid family leave, product discounts, and access to an onsite licensed professional counselor.
We’re a family business, and we believe the people making our products are every bit as important as the products themselves. We want people to feel welcome, valued, supported, and to have opportunities to learn new skills and build a career here. The work you do in this position doesn't simply stay inside our manufacturing facility. The molds and equipment our team produces help manufacturers create concrete products that become retaining walls, outdoor spaces, infrastructure, and other projects around the world.
