Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite within a rehabilitation facility located in South Burlington, Vermont. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Revive Motion Clinic, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Directing and implementing physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain, following the comprehensive treatment plans established.
  • Evaluating clients' functional levels through diagnostic and prognostic assessments, which may include muscle, nerve, and joint testing.
  • Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that the treatment plan is correctly executed, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
  • Advising patients and their families about rehabilitation techniques, therapy devices, and home modifications to enhance functional independence.
  • Administering various forms of therapy, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and administration of physical agents for treatment.
  • Documenting client progress accurately and submitting clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, in a timely manner.
  • Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Conducting functional assessments on-site and providing ongoing updates to the care plan as needed based on patient progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with adult and elderly patients, many of whom may have multiple comorbidities requiring a nuanced understanding of their physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs. Our clinic is committed to enhancing patients’ quality of life through individualized care that respects their specific circumstances and preferences, thus providing you with both challenges and rewarding opportunities daily.

Qualifications
  • A graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in acute care or home care settings.
  • Current Physical Therapy licensure in good standing in Vermont.
  • Current CPR certification to ensure emergency preparedness.
  • A valid driver’s license along with automobile insurance for travel to different patient residences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of populations, particularly in home healthcare or community settings, will be given preference.
