At MCHC, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare for children and families in our community. Our pediatric team works closely with patients and their caregivers to support healthy growth and development from infancy through adolescence.
About the Role
We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented LVN to join our Pediatrics team. As a pediatric LVN, you'll play a vital role in supporting providers, educating families, and ensuring children receive safe and effective care. You'll work within a collaborative care team, helping to coordinate visits, administer vaccines, provide patient education, and contribute to a positive clinic experience for every child and family.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and document vaccines and medications accurately, following CDC guidelines for pediatric immunizations
  • Monitor and document patient symptoms, treatments, and responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Support families with age-appropriate patient education, including growth milestones, wellness visits, and chronic care management
  • Assist with medication refills, provider orders, and coordination with pharmacies as directed
  • Perform therapeutic blood withdrawal and IV therapy if certified
  • Collaborate with the care team to improve workflows and deliver consistent, high-quality pediatric care

Requirements
  • Valid State of California Certificate of Registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Satisfactory completion of a prescribed course of instruction in intravenous therapy, approved by California State Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualification
  • Previous experience working as an LVN, in an outpatient setting
