Plastic Fabricator
Chaska, MN Full-Time 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) $24-$27/hour depending on experience Overtime available as needed
Build custom retail displays seen in stores across the country.
At Exactec, we design and manufacture custom retail displays, signage, fixtures, and point-of-purchase solutions for national retailers and display design firms. We're looking for an experienced Plastic Fabricator who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and enjoys hands-on fabrication work.
In this role, you'll cut, bend, machine, glue, and assemble acrylic and other plastic materials into high-quality custom displays. The ideal candidate has previous fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, sign-making, plastics, or display-building experience and is comfortable reading blueprints and working with a variety of shop equipment.
What You'll Do
  • Cut, shape, drill, bend, route, and finish acrylic and other plastic materials
  • Assemble custom retail displays using plastic cementing, gluing, and bonding techniques
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications
  • Operate fabrication equipment including table saws, router tables, edgers, jointers, heat benders, and other shop machinery
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy
  • Kit, package, and prepare completed products for shipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting production and fabrication issues
  • Support team members and help meet production schedules
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Previous fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, sign-making, plastics, or related hands-on experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience fabricating acrylic or plastic products
  • Experience with retail displays, signage, cabinetry, millwork, or custom fixtures
  • Experience using routers, table saws, heat benders, edgers, and related fabrication equipment
  • Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspections
  • Leadership experience or experience training and mentoring others
