Job description

Nuclear Medicine Specialist - Full Time

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker, Plano, TX 75093 & Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco Texas
Work hours: Full Time, 32 Hours, Days, 4 days per week; Will work three days at Texas Health Plano and one day at Texas Health Frisco; Seven days of call per month
Nuclear Medicine Department highlights:
• Small Team
• Basic Nuclear exams
• High volume of cardiac exams
• Inter hospital teamwork
Here's What You Need
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required or
• Associates Degree preferred
• 2 Years in nuclear medicine preferred
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required or
• CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire required and
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
What You Will Do
• Explain procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
• Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest
• Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
• Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
• Maintain attention to details
• Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS
• Print laser images, CD, or sends images from modality, Ambra, or PACS
• Coordinate with Scheduling and other modalities for patient care
