Job Summary:

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a licensed Commercial HVAC Plumber to join our team. This role has emphasis on Plumbing Service and involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping/pumping/heating systems for domestic water and HVAC equipment in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in water, gas, and refrigerant piping systems, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for domestic water heating equipment including boilers, pumps, and heat exchangers.
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications.
  • Install and connect refrigerant lines, water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas lines.
  • Conduct system testing and inspections to ensure leak-free, code-compliant installations.
  • Collaborate with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other construction professionals on installations and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose piping issues and inefficiencies in HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Ensure compliance with local plumbing and mechanical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols while maintaining compliance with local plumbing and mechanical codes.
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform routine system maintenance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid NC plumbing license or certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in plumbing or HVAC preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC plumbing. 5 or more preferred.
  • Experience with commercial plumbing systems, including refrigerant piping, gas piping, and hydronic systems.
  • Proficiency in cutting, welding, and brazing pipes.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC codes, safety standards, and associated piping systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial Plumbing installations.
