Job description

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director and the Laboratory Manager, theย Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples using venipuncture or skinย techniques and obtaining other specimens for ordered diagnostic studies. Also responsibleย for performing assigned waived testing, charting and faxing all types of patient reports.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years in a clinical laboratory.

PREFERRED: LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Phlebotomy certification.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge and skills to perform venipunctures, specimenย processing and communication with customers.
