Direct Support Professional - DSP Home & Community Based Services Day-Hab Position: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 830-400pm Wage: Starting at $17+/hr About us:Join our team at Hills and Dales, a non-profit organization dedicated to building meaningful lives for people with disabilities. Day Hab is a service where clients, who may not be working or have still have an opportunity to engage in their community, volunteer, and participate in social opportunities that help grow independence, support health, and bring some fun into the mix of day to day life. Our staff are creative, energetic, and willing lend a hand in a number of ways.Responsibilities: Implement person-centered plans and individual goals to enhance the lives of adults with disabilities. Foster community integration and meaningful social experiences. Adhere to Hills and Dales policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Requirements:Free of a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.Eighteen years of age or older.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Valid driver's license with proof of insurance, if required.One year of direct support experience in a formal support provision setting and/or CNA preferred.Within 6 months of employment must become certified in QBS (if required), CPR/First Aide & maintain these certifications.Within 6 months of employment complete medication manager certification and maintain certification.Within 6 months of employment complete at least 9.5 hours of training in supporting clients identified in the Iowa Administrative CodesContinue required on-going annual training as identified in Iowa Administrative Code.Why Join Us: This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
