Optometrists in full time positions examine eyes, diagnose vision problems and eye diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide treatments for certain eye conditions. They may work in private practices, clinics, retail settings, or healthcare facilities. Full time optometrists often develop long-term relationships with patients and may also be involved in patient education, vision therapy, and pre- and post-operative care.
