Overview

Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.

As a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation's most complex and high-impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.
  • Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications
  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 or more years' experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. 
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check. 
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. 
  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
