  • Install piping systems using threaded, grooved, welded, brazed, soldered, fused, or cemented connections as required.
  • Install and secure pipe supports, brackets, clamps, hangers, and related components.
  • Lay out piping systems in the field and determine required offsets, angles, miters, and fittings.
  • Perform pressure testing of completed piping systems and identify leaks or installation deficiencies.
  • Assist with the placement, installation, leveling, and alignment of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, and process equipment.
  • Coordinate lifting and material-handling activities involving cranes and other heavy equipment.
  • Properly rig, guide, and signal suspended loads in accordance with safe lifting practices.
  • Monitor jobsite conditions and ensure employees follow required safety procedures and work practices.
  • Conduct daily crew safety meetings and address potential hazards before work begins.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, time spent by work phase, and daily production.
  • Verify that necessary tools, materials, equipment, and manpower are available before work begins.
  • Train less-experienced employees on proper installation techniques, equipment operation, and safe work practices.
  • Inspect completed and in-progress work to verify proper installation, workmanship, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Identify field issues and work with project leadership to develop practical solutions.
  • Maintain a professional, productive, and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project completion.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate a crew of 3–8 employees.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical piping installation and fabrication practices.
