Job description

We are urgently seeking an Electromechanical Technician for Field Joint Coating (FJC) operations in Katy, TX. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position working Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, day shift, with offshore support as needed. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used for induction heating, abrasive blasting, and pipeline coating equipment. 90-day probationary period. Premium compensation based on experience, 100% covered job expenses, and premium benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FJC and pipeline coating equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Support equipment maintenance at onshore and offshore sites as needed.
  • Follow applicable safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical certification or formal training in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering Technology.
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing complex electromechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including standing, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • 3–7+ years of electromechanical maintenance experience in offshore pipeline or oil & gas environments preferred; FJC equipment experience (Shawcor/Mattr, Serimax, or similar), welding/fabrication (MIG/TIG), BOSIET, OGUK Medical, TWIC, and valid U.S. Passport preferred.
  • Drug screen and background check required.
