MILO Live is a premier design and manufacturing company of quality. and innovative live fire Modular Containerized Small Arms Training Sets (MCSATS® /RR), Modular Shooting Ranges, brick, and mortar ranges, shooting range equipment, and HVAC supply. We have been directly involved with the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment of over 200 modular shooting range systems and over 700 different brick and mortar ranges. MILO Live has an in-house HVAC company as part of our service which promotes our extensive background in metal fabrication, HVAC design and installation. MILO Live has the skills, experience, and background to design and build custom, convenient products to meet all our customer's needs.
Job Summary:
Industrial painter responsible for applying paint MAINLY OIL BASED PAINT, varnishes, and similar coatings to materials such as metals, woods, and plastics. You will use various techniques to apply paint, including sprays, rollers, and brushes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
To accomplish the primary goal of painting and coating surfaces, Industrial Painters perform many tasks. Sand, prep and properly protect surrounding surfaces and areas. Lifting and bending required and must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. and be on your feet during shift.
Clean and Prepare Surfaces
Industrial Painters must first prepare the surface they are going to paint. If there are previous finishes on the surface, they remove them using masking, grit blast, sanding, or chemical rinse. Then clean and smooth the surface and let it dry before painting.
Prepare Paints
Before starting a job, prepare the paint you will use. Use measurement equipment such as viscosity cups, thickness gages and gloss gages to check the makeup of the paint and use your understanding of chemistry to mix the appropriate compounds for the job.
Apply Paint
Painters use a variety of techniques and tools to paint surfaces. Safety is important, a respirator fit test is required prior to hiring. They may use airless spray equipment, HVLP cup guns, airbrushes, stencils, rollers, or brushes. Industrial painters must choose the best tool for the job at hand. They paint on primers, pre-finishes and finishing coats. Some Industrial Painters must use special safety equipment such as self-contained suits or protective eyewear.
Clean Work Areas
Industrial Painters clean up the area after they have finished a job. They must carefully follow all guidelines for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste.
Maintain Equipment
Industrial Painters are responsible for maintenance of their painting equipment, some of which is quite technical. They must be able to troubleshoot any problems that the equipment may have. Cleaning and maintenance of airless rigs, cup guns, and or any other tool required to perform work.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must take and pass a prescreen drug test and background check
  • Experience industrial equipment painting
  • Experience in oil base paints
  • Experience wet painting using a cup gun and airless spray rig or rolled applications
  • Ability to differentiate between colors
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to stay on feet and mobile all day long
