Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized LPN Clinical Coordinator to join our nursing education team in Rochester, NY. The LPN Clinical Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating clinical placements, supporting nursing students, maintaining healthcare partnerships, and ensuring high-quality clinical learning experiences. This position is ideal for a nursing professional with strong leadership, communication, and clinical education experience who is passionate about supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.
The LPN Clinical Coordinator will work closely with nursing faculty, healthcare facilities, students, and academic leadership to coordinate clinical schedules, monitor student progress, and maintain compliance with program and accreditation standards. The ideal candidate for this LPN Clinical Coordinator position will have experience in nursing education, clinical operations, healthcare coordination, or nursing leadership.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and support of clinical sites and clinical instructors
  • Serve as the primary LPN Clinical Coordinator responsible for maintaining relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, and community clinical partners throughout the Rochester, NY area
  • Collaborate with nursing program leadership and academic advisors to develop and manage clinical schedules for nursing students
  • Visit clinical locations regularly to evaluate student learning experiences and ensure clinical education standards are met
  • Monitor compliance with institutional policies, state regulations, and accrediting agency requirements related to nursing clinical education
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to clinical faculty and instructors
  • Assist with resolving clinical site concerns involving students, faculty, or healthcare partners
  • Support nursing student success through effective clinical coordination and communication
  • Participate in professional networking and healthcare partnership development activities
  • Teach up to two clinical rotations per term as needed
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reports, and records related to nursing program operations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to nursing education and clinical training

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
  • Current New York State RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
  • Previous experience in nursing education, clinical coordination, healthcare training, or nursing leadership preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic and healthcare environment
  • Experience with nursing informatics systems, simulation technology, and virtual clinical learning platforms preferred
