The Role
The selected candidate will provide physical security to safeguard facilities, personnel, and property. Be able to detect and correct security violations, enforce company rules and regulations associated with Industrial and Nuclear Security, and write incident reports as necessary. Provide access controls to facilities and sensitive areas aboard naval nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. Perform security and safety patrol duties, and provide emergency response support to all areas of the facility, waterfront, and ships.
Must Have
Candidate must be able to run, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb stairs and incline/vertical ladders.
Must take and pass a respirator fit test, lift and carry 40 lbs.
Must be able to work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions as well as be able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces.
Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs, and flexibility to work a rotating schedule.
Candidate must be able to successfully complete written and practical radiological and nuclear security training, and must qualify with weapons (handgun and shotgun).
Candidate must be capable of obtaining a security clearance within a prescribed timeframe.
Candidate must be able to understand written instructions and have good communication skills (verbal and written).
Nice to Have
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Prior Law Enforcement, Security, or Military experience preferred.
