Full Time No Driving Nanny Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the South Park area (currently in a rental home, looking to purchase a home in Dilworth, Myers Park, or Elizabeth) in finding a long term Full-Time nanny for their children, ages two years old and 3 months old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. It is important that the nanny is flexible to travel with the family on a few vacations a year and occasionally babysit.

The ideal nanny is an experienced, proactive, warm, and nurturing caregiver. Nanny should have substantial experience in caring for young children and babies, and have a proven track record for caring for babies and toddlers together. The nanny should be confident balancing the needs of both children, managing overlapping feeding and nap schedules, and providing attentive and loving care while encouraging age-appropriate development both in and out of the house.

A strong understanding of infant care, safe-sleep practices, early childhood development, montessori-inspired play, potty training, and baby led weaning is preferred. NCS experience or comparable hands-on infant experience is ideal. Knowing the latest baby gear and products is a plus.

The family highly values a thoughtful balance of enriching activities and independent play. Typical days include parks, music classes, art classes, museums, play gyms, reading, singing, crafts, and sensory activities.The nanny will collaborate with a stay-at-home mom who remains involved throughout the day. However, the nanny is expected to regularly care for both children simultaneously when the mom is unavailable.

The older child will be going to a preschool three mornings a week starting in late August. Pick up and drop off will be handled by the parents or nanny. While the older child is in school, the nanny should provide dedicated one-on-one time with the baby. Help with household tasks and errands when nanny does not have either child would be needed (for example toddler is in preschool and mom is with the baby), with childcare always being the priority.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily needs of the children (bottle feeding, meals, changing, napping, rocking)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Finding and doing hands-on and educational activities and outings with the children

• Driving the children to and from activities, appointments, etc. Family provides a car

Household Duties Include (Children are priority):

• Children's laundry and changing children's sheets weekly

• Children's bottle prep (the baby takes special formula for dairy intolerance)

• Meal prep, including preparing healthy snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner

• Sanitizing bottles and pump parts

• Cleaning up after meals

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Replacing trash

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the children throughout the day

• Emptying the diaper pail and stocking diapers and wipes

• Keeping children items stocked

• Rotating toys and clothes, and keeping the nursery organized and age-appropriate

Pets: The family has a cat. There is no care needed for the cat unless the family is traveling. If the family is traveling, the nanny will be asked to come to the home once a day to feed the cat and scoop the litter box during weekdays. If the nanny is asked to care for the cat on the weekends, outside of the regular work hours, the nanny will be paid an additional pet sitting fee if the nanny is available.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 5 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver's license

• Have a clean driving record

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Must live within a commutable distance to Southpark, Dilworth, Myers Park, or the Elizabeth neighborhood

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny must be experienced and familiar with baby-led weaning

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on Childhood vaccinations, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP before starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $30-$32 an hour. Overtime applied after 40 hours.
