Job Description:

Nebraska DHHS is seeking an experienced .NET Software Developer to support and maintain critical processes and functions that complement the in-house benefit/ service delivery and case management system for Health and Human Services systems. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience with .NET software development and support of complex, critical enterprise applications.
This is a full-time/permanent on-site role in Lincoln, Nebraska. Not eligible to be a contracted position.
**The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant work visas for this position or accept STEM OPT (form i-983). **
Examples of Work
  • Full lifecycle software development using C#.NET to build and maintain enterprise level applications
  • Troubleshoot/ resolve issues related to the N-FOCUS desktop environment
  • Administer and maintain the Reporting environment for mission critical applications. Includes server upgrades, report migration, as well as other management tasks
  • Administer and maintain the Enterprise Content Management System for mission critical applications. Includes server upgrades, administration, as well as other management tasks.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: The candidate must have at least 5 years of recent experience in the following:
Skillset/ experience with C coding language
Familiarity with the DHHS N-FOCUS application and/or State of Nebraska IT environment
Other: Position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln. No remote or hybrid work.
