Job Description

The Mutual Funds Specialist will serve as a liaison between GFS Mutual Fund clients and financial intermediaries in the areas related to electronic trading as well as broker/dealer servicing. The processing of trades, including timely and accurate resolution of rejects, account transfers and maintenance updates, problem solving and research, and money movement to/from financial institutions will be performed daily. Duties are balanced between customer service (to internal and external clients), processing, and projects. The Mutual Funds Specialist may also be involved in Closed End fund trading, Exchange Traded Fund servicing as well as other specialized activities as dictated by the client.

Job Description:

  • Serve as a liaison between mutual fund clients and financial intermediaries, supporting electronic trading, broker/dealer servicing, and account maintenance.
  • Process mutual fund transactions, resolved trade exceptions, managed account transfers, and facilitated money movement activities.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external clients while researching and resolving operational issues.
  • Support mutual fund, ETF, and closed-end fund operations, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • One to two years of related work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Three or more years of finance, accounting or reconcilement experience
  • Experience with mutual fund processing, corporate actions or trade settlement
  • Experience monitoring and reconciling trades through the NSCC platform
  • Three or more years of finance, accounting or reconcilement experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial industry
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple processes effectively with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate problems with minimal guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $60,435.00 - $71,100.00
