Job description

Interior Designer — Irving, TX

Are you an experienced Interior Designer passionate about creating inspiring, functional commercial spaces?

A leading contract interiors firm based in Irving — serving clients across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex — is seeking a creative, detail-oriented design professional to join its growing team. This is your opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with visionary clients, and grow your career with a company known for transforming how people work and interact with space.

Why You’ll Love This Opportunity

Join a team that celebrates creativity, fosters design excellence, and values its people as much as its projects.

What’s in it for you:

  • Meaningful Design Work: Contribute to innovative office, education, and healthcare interiors that balance beauty, function, and performance.
  • Professional Growth: Expand your design skills and knowledge through mentorship, continued education, and exposure to diverse project types.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work alongside a talented, supportive studio team where your ideas help shape the client experience.
  • Competitive Rewards: Strong salary and comprehensive benefits
  • Balanced Lifestyle: Hybrid work flexibility, generous paid leave, and a culture that values work–life balance.

Be part of a team serving some of the most forward-thinking organizations in the DFW area—where every project is a chance to redefine what exceptional interiors can be.

Your Role

As an Interior Designer, you’ll collaborate on projects from concept through completion, ensuring each space reflects the client’s identity, goals, and brand vision. You’ll play a key role in developing design concepts, supporting presentations, and coordinating with internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design programming, concept development, and space planning presentations.
  • Design and specify furniture, finishes, and materials that align with project goals and budgets.
  • Develop design drawings, documentation, and installation plans.
  • Partner with architects, project managers, and manufacturers to implement design intent.
  • Support multiple projects at varying stages of completion.
  • Stay engaged with evolving workplace trends, sustainability practices, and new product innovations.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Experience: 4–8 years of professional experience in commercial interior design.
  • Expertise: Strong background in space planning and furniture specification for corporate, educational, or healthcare environments. Specific experience in office furniture.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD or CET Designer or Revit or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of office furniture products and industry trends strongly preferred. Office furniture industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
  • Portfolio: A compelling collection of work demonstrating creative thinking, technical execution, and design excellence.

Your Next Chapter

This Interior Designer role for a leading contract office furniture dealer offers the perfect mix of creativity, collaboration, and professional growth. If you’re ready to contribute your skills to meaningful projects and work within a supportive, design-driven environment, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Join a team shaping the future of commercial interiors across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex — where innovation, craftsmanship, and creativity meet every day.
