About Us

New Pathways for Children is a 501(c)(3) Christian ministry with a vision of bringing hope to children in crisis. We provide children in need with a safe, loving, family-style home where they can experience stability, belonging, and the opportunity to thrive.


Position Summary

The House Parent provides full-time care, supervision, and support to children placed in a family model home operated by New Pathways for Children. The House Parent resides in an agency-owned home and creates a safe, nurturing, and structured family environment that supports the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational, and social development of the children in care.


For married applicants, one spouse is employed by the agency as the primary House Parent. The other spouse is not required to be employed by the agency and may pursue outside employment or may be considered for an appropriate agency position based on qualifications and agency needs. Both spouses must meet all minimum requirements and successfully pass required background checks in order to serve in this role.


Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to pass federal and local criminal background checks, including Child Abuse and Neglect clearances
  • High school diploma required; additional education in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience working with children, youth, or families (foster care, residential care, education, or similar settings preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to transport children (agency-owned vehicle provided)
