Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Logistics Representative to help support our F/A-18 Kuwait Pilot Training Program located at Naval Air Station Joint Base Reserve New Orleans, Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

The selected candidate will provide direct support and services to our customer within a field environment. Such direct support is primarily provided at non-Boeing facilities, e.g., customer bases/sites, other contractor facilities, remote operating locations, or a combination of field locations. Specific contract requirements will govern the type, extent, and criteria for the support and/or services to be provided.

The position is responsible for providing logistical support to our Kuwait Air Force (KAF) customer who is performing F/A-18 Pilot Training as a primary responsibility.

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short-notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet our customers' unique requirements.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of a team of Employees that will package, ship, track, and report the status of KAF-owned material that has been shipped to support flight operations in support of the program.

  • Assist the package, ship, track, and status of all KAF-owned material repairables, consumables, hazmat, and support equipment in support KAF pilot training activities.

  • Coordinate with the NAVSUP Supply Support Logistics Element Manager (LEM) as required.

  • Manage inventory and all parts replacement shortages with the Aviation Supply Department.

  • Act as liaison to military supply systems, order requirements, and expedite all aircraft parts.

  • Track incoming and outgoing packages; act as Point-of-Contact for shipping (FedEx, DHL, etc).

  • Manage the inventory of all Government and Boeing property associated with this program.

  • Maintain Pan Stock parts and reorder identified quantities towards keeping a minimum on hand.

  • Actively seek out materials, parts, consumables, and hazmat needed for flight operations.

  • Maintain site Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information, both paper and Enablon versions.

  • Obtain GOLD ESP and Total Asset Visibility (TAV) accounts as required to research aircraft parts.

  • Requisition Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and office supplies when required.

  • Provide updated/actual Lead Times, Turn-Around-Times, and Estimated Delivery Dates.

  • Research inactive parts, part number changes, part configuration, and superseded part issues.

  • Identify items that require funding beyond normal operational needs and provide solutions.

  • Assist in identifying and expediting Boeing materials in support of program operations.

  • Recognize to the F/A-18 Program Office any issues associated with material planning, stocking, ordering, etc., that could cause delays or inefficiencies with the ability to provide support.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within a military aviation context.

  • Willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and / or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and / or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime)

  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.

  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with GOLDesp is preferred.

  • Previous experience working with Military Services.

  • Experience working with HAZMAT

  • Experience using Purchase Cards/CAPRS for equipment and services
