Job description

Valley Catholic Middle School seeks an enthusiastic and collaborative educator to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. Valley Catholic Middle School is an independent Catholic school serving students in grades six through eight in Beaverton, Oregon. Since opening as an independent middle school in 2011, we have built a reputation for academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and educating the whole child.

As Oregon's only Cognia STEM-certified middle school, our students experience learning that extends beyond the classroom through research, writing, presentations, authentic problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning. Teaching Assignment One section of 6th Grade English One section of 7th Grade English One section of 8th Grade English Two sections of Middle School Mathematics (6th Grade and 8th Grade) Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $45,397 (Bachelor's Degree, Step 0) - $64,602 (Master's Degree, Step 7+), depending on education and experience. Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Design engaging lessons that promote deep learning and critical thinking.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Foster strong literacy, communication, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback.

Build positive relationships with students and families. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and school initiatives. Contribute to the vibrant life of the school community.

Preferred Qualifications Current Oregon Teaching License (or ability to obtain one) Appropriate endorsement in Language Arts and/or Mathematics Strong classroom management skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to student-centered learning Support for the mission and values of Valley Catholic School Successful completion of a background check and authorization to work in the United States are required.
