Job description

Skyline Education AZ Compass is seeking a motivated 7th and 8th Grade Science Teacher to design and deliver high quality instruction in a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth. The ideal candidate builds strong relationships with students and supports them in developing the skills, knowledge, and habits needed for long term success. This is a full time, 10 month position.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver effective, standards aligned instruction for assigned students
• Use research based assessments to monitor progress
• Provide timely feedback and reteach as needed to ensure mastery
• Implement the approved curriculum with fidelity
• Differentiate instruction and apply required modifications in student education plans
• Communicate clearly and consistently with parents, guardians, and colleagues
• Collaborate with school staff to support student achievement
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports and administrative tasks
• Use proactive classroom management strategies
• Model strong character and support students in developing positive academic and personal habits
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or School Leader
Skills and Qualifications
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of student learning styles and instructional strategies
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state education regulations

Education and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid Arizona teaching certification preferred
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
