Job description

We are a Private Montessori , American Montessori Society (AMS) verified school with two campuses serving families across North Fulton and South Forsyth. The school is dedicated to nurturing independent thinkers, confident learners, and engaged citizens through a Montessori approach grounded in Creativity, Curiosity, Courage, Compassion, Communication, and Independence. Students are encouraged to explore with purpose, develop autonomy, and build the confidence needed to become lifelong learners. Learning extends beyond the classroom through strong relationships among students, educators, families, local businesses, and community organizations. We focuses on Montessori education across early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels, emphasizing student development, experiential learning, community engagement, and strategic partnerships.


Role Description:

This full-time Middle School Teacher role is an on-site position located in Alpharetta, GA. The teacher will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with Montessori principles and middle school learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, implementing curriculum, guiding students through independent and collaborative work, and assessing student progress through a variety of methods. The teacher will create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment, communicate regularly with families and colleagues, and contribute to school-wide initiatives and community partnerships. Collaboration with other educators to enhance experiential learning opportunities and support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth is an essential part of this role.


Qualifications:

Ability to plan and organize effective learning experiences, including Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development tailored to middle school learners.
Demonstrated experience working with Middle School students and applying age-appropriate Teaching practices in a classroom setting.
Strong Communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families and the broader school community.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Montessori certification or training for upper elementary/middle school is preferred but not required.
Experience with student-centered, experiential learning approaches and a commitment to fostering independence and critical thinking.
Ability to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills, reliability, and willingness to participate in school events, professional development, and community engagement activities.
