Job description

Full-Time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY)

Location: Yorktown, Virginia

Are you passionate about helping elementary students develop the communication skills they need to succeed? We're seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive school district in Yorktown, Virginia. Whether you're an experienced clinician or preparing to begin your Clinical Fellowship (CFY), we'd love to hear from you!

Position Details

  • Position: Full-Time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY)
  • Location: Yorktown, VA
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Full school year
  • Student Population: Elementary school students
  • School Sites: 1–2 locations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
  • Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Virginia Department of Education licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping school-aged children achieve their communication goals

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide direct therapy services for elementary students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide evidence-based recommendations to support student success.
