Ale-8-One Bottling Company is seeking qualified candidates for a full time Merchandiser to build, maintain and rotate Ale-8-One stock on shelves, coolers, vendors and secondary and promotional displays at each account while keeping shelving and backrooms neat and clean and condensing pallets on a regular basis. Qualified candidates will have a minimum 2 years work experience and preferably some experience in a grocery or C-store setting; some sales experience preferred. This individual will maintain good relationships with all assigned accounts and be eager to learn and develop safe and efficient work habits. Ideal candidates will have an interest in sales and contribute to Ale-8-One sales opportunities as we continue to grow and expand our market.
Merchandisers are required to drive their personal vehicles from account to account, covering their assigned territory on a daily basis. Routes will cover a multiple county territory. Ale-8-One pays an hourly rate and mileage reimbursement for the approved miles driven on the employees route for business purpose.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Build, maintain and rotate the display of Ale-8-One product on shelves, coolers, vendors and secondary and promotional displays at each account in an assigned territory.
  • Maintain neat and clean shelves and backrooms, condensing pallets on a regular basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the store managers and employees at each account.
  • Ensure the proper level of service by merchandising and meeting our customers service expectations.
  • Help maintain proper Point of Sale, pricing, and marketing standards at all times.
  • Maintain strong teamwork with the Route Sales Driver and account manager working in the assigned territory.
  • Meet the Ale-8-One Behavior Standard and Company Values.
  • Safely operate a vehicle, pallet jack, and hand truck.

This is a full time, outside-sales exempt position with competitive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance and company paid long term and short term disability insurance.   • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to lift/ carry 50 lbs., move 290 lbs. with a hand truck, and move full pallets of product with a manual floor jack
  • At least 2 years work experience
  • Grocery store, C-store or sales experience preferred
  • HS Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays when required
  • Ability to fulfill weekend schedule requirements as needed
  • Strong customer service and communication skills a must
  • Ability to perform frequent and some continuous standing, walking, and driving along with frequent bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, overhead reaching, and grasping, lifting, carrying and handling heavy weight. Also periodic lifting of 50 lbs and pushing / pulling full pallets of heavy product
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including warm and cold temperatures and elements
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and comply with PPE requirements
  • This is a highly physical position
