The Bug Company is pleased to announce an exciting full-time opportunity as a Production Team Member. This position appeals to those who thrive in a dynamic, robust environment managing various living products. Located in our production facility in Hellertown, PA, the role requires a hands-on commitment and is not eligible for remote work options. Our caretakers play a crucial role in ensuring the health, productivity, and overall wellness of our insect colonies which are vital to our operations.

The successful candidate will join a motivated team dedicated to maintaining high care and production efficiency standards. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about biology, agriculture, or entomology. Our warehouse environment is structured to support both team-based and independent work, requiring a versatile and adaptive approach to daily tasks and challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Feed and water live insects to ensure their health and growth.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment to promote hygiene and efficiency.
    • Prepare and assemble materials for insect care.
    • Carry out all assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
    • Display attention to detail in all aspects of the production process to prevent any discrepancies.
    • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
    • Respect and work well with coworkers, embracing a team-focused approach to ensure a harmonious working environment.
    • Perform all responsibilities in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring respectful interactions with both team members and management.
    • Take on additional duties as assigned by management, adapting flexibly to the changing needs of the production department.
Requirements:
    • Proven ability regarding knowledge of care with living products or animals.
    • Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
    • Ability to prepare necessary materials efficiently.

Schedule:
  • Sunday โ€“ Thursday 7:00 AM โ€“ 3:30 PM
  • (hours may vary based on shipping volume and company needs)
Pay Rate:
  • $17 an hour
